Why I do not agree with Filonov's Dry Fasting Refeed Protocol

💡If you're reading this please be aware of a few things. Filinov has become a profit-focused entity. They harass my articles and threaten to sue any mention or review of his protocols. (Yeah right, this isn't communist Russia, and we have a right to review) I have always talked about them in a positive light because there are so few dry fasting retreats out there. But as dry fasting is growing, more retreats are popping up. In light of the recent harassment, I'll go ahead and say some things that I've heard from other participants that went to Russia/wherever they host them. In most cases, people's symptoms improve for a short while but then deteriorate. This is because chronic illness needs dry fasting but it's not the only thing. Filinov is pretty clueless about lyme and long covid. "If all you've got is a hammer, everything looks like a nail." There is a lot to unpack and lifestyle, viral reservoirs, and stress management is critical too. You don't need to go there to heal your LC - you can do it with better all-around approaches that focus on 5-day dry fasts. If you have the money and are bored/want someone to hold your hand, go to a retreat. I look forward to better retreats in the coming years that better help more people heal and learn about dry fasting.

It is not designed to treat serious post-viral complications.

Sugar is a catalyst for the virus, so if a viral reservoir remains, you are doing more harm than good (link to study, and link to experiences below)

There are alternatives that make more sense like alkaline keto

Talk about alternative like Celery, cucumber refeed for alkalinity and minerals.

Pancreas damage may require less sugar upon waking up. Long covid causes pancreas damage. Too fast jumps, need a better sugar ramp up protocol.

work in progress - set up a one-on-one to discuss this and let me guide you through your healing journey.
